PETER TRAUTMANN
Peter Mark Trautmann is a born and bred New Yorker. He was amazed when he arrived at college at NYU to find authentic communities of students who were placing Jesus and his teachings at the center of their lives, rather than the margins. After graduation, he worked for a non-profit in Manhattan for two years before pursuing a deeper foundation in the Bible and theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary north of Boston, where he earned his Master of Divinity. Peter then joined The Navigators (on April Fool’s Day!) to provide others with the same kind of gospel community that was so transformative in his own life. He has served with The Navigators for 23 years and became the City Director for NYC in 2021. He has a huge heart for helping people be gripped by the beauty of Jesus’ message and its relevance to their own lives. He’s loves the diversity of people, cultures and ideas that he encounters every day in New York City and has also had the privilege of ministering in China, Japan, Mongolia, India, Vietnam, Honduras, and Morocco. He has been married for 15 years to his wonderful wife Amanda, who serves as a Vice President of The Navigators directing the national marketing team, and they live with their three rambunctious boys ages 8-12 in their two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Peter loves the city and would love to give you a tour sometime!
